Life is short, take the long way.

I made this sign for me, really, but perhaps someone else would like it too. I love taking the scenic route. There’s nothing better than a winding road lined with trees and wildflowers. Where I live, once you leave town you drive through the countryside until you come to another town.  That is, if you stay off the highway. Of course this isn’t just a literal reminder for driving instructions, but a metaphor that will also remind me to pause, reflect and soak in life as much as possible.  This is an 8″x10″ frameable print.

Chin up. Shoulders back. We can do this.

Life can be a struggle at times. Certainly people in the UK knew this during the rough years of battle during World War II. This is a variation of a poster designed in the late 30s or early 40s to remind people of how to manage adversity during a very difficult time.  Perhaps, like me, you need a little reminder now and then yourself. So let’s keep calm, shall we? Print this little poster and place it where you’re most likely to pause, take a deep breath and remember that you too can carry on.

This 1950s inspired to-do list is a fillable PDF that you can type, tab, type and then print, or simply print and write by hand. Wearing an apron and red lipstick is totally optional.

Maybe you’re more organized than I am, (most people are), but I have password text docs floating in many different folders.  So I wanted to create a way to easily (and stylishly!) save them all.  You can type your list using this fillable PDF, (or write by hand if you prefer), and print this out for your business file.

Note: If you don’t have the full version of Acrobat, then you may be able only to print your type, but not save the file with text. You could test this by typing a sample, saving and reopening the file.

Cherry-on-top idea

These are great to use at home, of course, but also make a great accessory for a gift basket. Wrap a tea cup and saucer in cellophane and ribbon, with assorted tea bags and bookmarks arranged inside the tea cup.  Or place the tea cup and other items on top of a special book and wrap altogether.

Save your extra copies for a gift. Tie with ribbon and include a jar of homemade jam, or a gift card to a local grocery store.
